## **Our project**

Bari Welcome is one of the components of the tourist information system implemented between 2020 and 2023 by the Municipality of Bari as part of the 'Digital Tourism Services' project, which includes:
- The portal [www.bariwelcome.it](https://maps.app.goo.gl/ttJJFo6jAzvnFB228) with 363 points of interest mapped in the metropolitan area of Bari, and 15 accessible tourist-cultural itineraries.
- An application infrastructure for entities participating in the circuit dedicated to managing the Bari Guest Card (QR code generation, devices for reading and managing discounts).
- A mobile app, available for Android and iOS, dedicated to the enjoyment of content and the management of the Bari Guest Card by tourists.
- A Visitor Center at the Civic Museum of Bari, equipped with multi-touch monitors, interactive multimedia stations, augmented reality devices (glass), and educational tools (tablets).
- 200 signposts placed outside the main points of interest for accessing supplementary content and specific information.
As of November 2023, Bari Welcome takes over from Terra di Bari Guest Card to continue the experimentation on the operational management of the first electronic Tourist Card of Terra di Bari in collaboration between the Municipality, Metropolitan City, and the Chamber of Commerce of Bari.
Terra di Bari Guest Card is not simply a tourist card for access to some cultural venues and affiliated businesses at discounted rates but a tool capable of:
- Ensuring the full accessibility of cultural resources.
- Facilitating tourist accessibility and the consolidation of the tourist services system on a metropolitan scale.
- Testing the first "metropolitan digital tourist ecosystem" that allows all operators involved in the tourism sector (both public and private) to understand the behaviors and consumption styles of visitors, and then plan effective tourism policies.
- Developing the welcoming and tourist promotion capacity of the entire Metropolitan Area of Bari.
The primary objective of the Card is also to build an integrated metropolitan system for tourism, capable of offering visitors ease, flexibility, and completeness of the offer, through the extensive integration of cultural and tourist operators in the area and the simplification of access to information and services, through the implementation of a telematic system for the promotion of cultural itineraries, the organization of reception, and the full accessibility of cultural resources.
Therefore, a single Tourist Card through which tourists and visitors can access museums, castles, other cultural venues, affiliated businesses, and services.
